Jack Nicholson was born in Neptune, New Jersey, on April 22, 1937, and grew up in Manasquan, in the same state. His parents were thought to be John and Ethel May Nicholson. John worked as a window stylist for a department store, and Ethel was a gifted hairdresser as well as a talented oil artist.
